What are the advantages of a Cloud Based Software?
There are many advantages of a Cloud Based Software, but some of the notable advantages are as follow.
- Fresh software – With SaaS (Software as a Service), the latest version of the software is available as soon as it is released. You will no longer need to schedule a time to manually update your software, as it will be done for you automatically.
- Cost Savings – A significant cloud computing benefit is the IT cost savings. With cloud computing, you can save substantial capital costs since you will not need a dedicated in-house server or IT professional to maintain it.
- Reliability – With a managed service platform, cloud computing is much more reliable and consistent than in-house IT infrastructure. The connection is always on as long as employees have an internet connection, they can get to the application they need from practically anywhere.
- Improved Mobility – Data and applications are available to employees no matter where they are, as long as they have internet capability. You will be able to take your work anywhere, via smart phones, tablets or laptops.
What are the System Requirements?
Since ServiceFactor is web-based, you only need an internet connection to access it through most modern web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer. For the Mobile Invoicing Module, you will need an iPhone, iPad or Android device with cellular connection.
Is ServiceFactor Hard to Learn?
ServiceFactor was designed to be user friendly and as intuitive as possible so that you can begin to use it as soon as you sign up. As with any software, there is a slight learning curve, but we have found that by the end of the first day, most users are comfortable with the software and invoicing without any problems.
What about the Learning Curve for my Technicians?
The mobile module for ServiceFactor was designed through the eyes of a technician, so most technicians find it very easy to learn and use. The system guides you through the steps of a service call, even allowing you to setup must fill fields on various forms you create based on the equipment or the type of problem being reported. If any of the work being recommended is declined, the tech can instantly move the recommendation to a quote, so that you do not lose out on additional sales opportunities. When the invoice is completed in the field, the technician can capture the customer’s acceptance signature, collect payment on the spot and provide the customer with a copy of their receipt. If you do not invoice in the field, the technician can present the customer with a “work order” that describes the work performed and capture their acceptance signature. All of the data, as well as a copy of the signed invoice or work order will be updated back at the office, with the signed form being attached to the customer’s record.
What is the Difference Between an Office User and a Mobile User?
An office user will be able to access the main system, which is where you maintain your customers, service agreements, equipment, inventory, quotes, scheduling/dispatch board, etc. A mobile user will be able to view the calls assigned to them, dispatch themselves, view or add customer equipment, fill out forms associated with equipment readings, capture an acceptance signature for proposed work, generate a quote, generate an invoice and capture an approval signature, capture payments and email (or print) a copy of the invoice/receipt for the customer. If permission is granted, a mobile user can enter a new service call, as well as the ability to add a new customer if applicable.
Can the Same Call be Assigned to Multiple Technicians in the Field?
Yes – with ServiceFactor, one of the technician’s will be assigned as the “Primary” technician, which means that tech will be responsible for generating the invoice, but other techs assigned to the job will be able to view the call information, history, equipment on site and dispatch themselves to the call.
Do I Need to Sign a Contract?
There are no contracts necessary to begin using ServiceFactor. We offer a month-to-month service, which allows you to cancel at any time.
Is There a Limit To How Many Users I Can Have?
No, there is not a limit to the number of users you can sign up for ServiceFactor.
